The WB21X36771 is a genuine OEM infinite heat switch kit engineered for electric ranges and cooktops utilizing coil burner elements. This switch acts as the internal thermostat for the surface element, cycling electrical power on and off to maintain the exact cooking temperature selected on the dial. When this switch degrades or experiences internal electrical failure, common symptoms include a burner that remains stuck on maximum high heat regardless of the setting, a burner that fails to heat at all, or erratic heating responses during use.
