The 10040888 lower dishrack wheel kit contains a full set of eight heavy-duty plastic rollers designed to completely refresh the rolling network of the bottom basket. While some retailers sell this part number individually, the factory OEM package fulfills the complete set of eight wheels required by the lower rack. Because the lower rack carries the heaviest weight loads—such as pots, pans, and large dinner plates—the wheels wear down at a similar rate from continuous exposure to high-heat sanitation cycles and aggressive detergents. Replacing all eight wheels simultaneously eliminates structural sagging, stops the rack from pulling out unevenly, and prevents the basket from derailing or scratching the inner door stainless steel liner.
