The cooktop and range sealing strip is a specialized adhesive foam gasket designed to bridge the perimeter gap between the appliance housing and the countertop surface. Made from high-grade synthetic rubber, this resilient seal acts as a defense barrier that prevents liquid boils, grease run-off, and fine debris from migrating beneath the cooking deck into the interior cabinetry. It also cushions the glass or metal frame, dampening operational vibrations that could induce surface micro-fractures. Over time, heat exposure, spill acids, or aggressive scrubbing can erode the rubber, causing liquid leaks that endanger internal electronic modules or gas plumbing below.
