Purpose
Monitors rotor speed and direction in the washer drive system.
Details
This genuine OEM rotor position sensor is engineered for select LG (and affiliated) front-load washing machines. Installed near the motor stator, it detects the spinning rotor’s direction and speed and communicates that data to the main control board to govern wash/spin cycles. When the sensor fails you may encounter symptoms such as error codes (e.g., “LE”), the washer not spinning or agitating, or a silent drum that won’t move despite power. Replacing this sensor restores correct motor feedback, enabling the control board to manage drive functions properly.
