This genuine OEM thermostat and thermistor kit is designed for select LG (and affiliated) electric dryers. The thermistor senses the temperature of air exiting the drum, while the high-limit thermostat cuts off heating if airflow is blocked or internal temperature becomes excessive. If one of these components fails you may observe poor drying performance, overheating, dryer runs but doesn’t heat, or the dryer shuts off prematurely. Replacing this kit restores proper temperature sensing, heating control and safe operation of the dryer.
