Its open wire layout ensures that high-pressure water from the lower spray arm can circulate completely around every item for optimal cleaning coverage. Made of polymer-coated metal, this rack is exposed to intense thermal cycles, constant moisture, and chemical detergents. Over years of heavy load use, the vinyl protective coating can split, peel, or chip, causing the inner steel framing to rust out and degrade. Common symptoms indicating a replacement is needed include structural snapping, sagging prongs, rust staining transferring onto dishes, or broken framing sections that compromise load stability.
