Part WP3390719 Thermal Fuse (Thermal Limiter)
Purpose
Shuts off heater when dryer overheats
Details
This genuine OEM thermal fuse (also called a thermal limiter) is installed in the exhaust duct of many Whirlpool-family electric dryers. It permanently opens when the dryer overheats (approx. 196 °F / 91 °C), cutting power to the heater. Because it’s non-resettable, a blown fuse must be replaced. Common symptoms of failure include the dryer running but not heating, or no heat at all. Replacing this fuse restores proper safety control of the heating circuit.
Included Items
One thermal fuse with wiring terminals and mounting clips.
Compatible Models
Used in many Whirlpool, Kenmore, Amana, Roper, and Crosley dryers. Always confirm with your dryer’s parts diagram before ordering.
