The WPW10353372 Electric Cooktop Control Knob fits onto the surface burner infinite switch shaft on the control panel, allowing you to select and adjust heat output for the cooktop burners. Over time, continuous turning and exposure to kitchen heat can cause the internal D-shaped shaft sleeve to strip, crack, or loosen, preventing the knob from properly engaging the switch stem. Physical cracks or cosmetic wear can also make the control panel difficult to operate or read. Replacing a worn or broken knob restores responsive temperature selection and a clean appearance to your cooktop.
