The W10881366 is a genuine OEM water inlet valve assembly designed specifically for under-the-counter ice machines and select refrigerators. This solenoid-operated valve opens to allow household water to fill the ice maker's reservoir during the production cycle. Because these units often run continuously, the valve is a high-wear component susceptible to mineral deposit buildup and sediment. Common symptoms of failure include the ice maker not filling, the production of thin or hollow ice cubes, or a "no-ice" condition. Conversely, if the internal diaphragm becomes stuck open, water may continuously flow into the reservoir, causing an overflow or preventing the freezing cycle from progressing.
