This wheel is used in the assembly of dryers, and it is commonly referred to as a drum support roller. Most dryers feature two of these support rollers. These rollers should be able to rotate smoothly on a shaft, they support the drum while also allowing it rotate freely and easily. If your dryer is making loud and high-pitched squeaking noises while it is operating that indicates there is a problem with the drum support rollers. Most often these rollers will need to be replaced if the bearing is damage or worn.
